Mount Tahan Travel Plan (10-18 May 2014)

After the Yong Belar incident, I decided that I will go for Mount Tahan without her. But, to join the Malaysia group, V2 Kembara, I need to find my way to the trail head at Merapoh alone. Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg who started the Facebook, I got the basic information from a stranger, Jones, whom I "invited" to friend me.

A good start for Mount Tahan

Travelling by train alone to meet the Malaysian Team at Merapoh is a sleepless journey. Afraid that I will overslept and miss the team. With God blessing and many people helps, I manage to get off at the corrects station.

When I first met them, they already know one another well... which made me fell very left out. But soon, we get to talk, except Jenny... she has attempted Tahan 3 times and boast about her experience. Who cares!

Journey is not tough, just the bees are ignoring. They say we need to cross 7 rivers, 7 mountains... but to me, every bit of journey is interesting... I don't feel the need to stay "tahan" for the trip to end

Maybe the interesting part of the trip is not about "qiong". We even took extra mile to go to look for the Rafflesia. Hui Xian team takes 6 days to complete the trek and in the end, she hates the trek and say she will never do trekking anymore. For me, I enjoy the trek, the team and the terrain.

I love Tahan trek.... the team spirit, the take it easy, every luxurious meal. I remember asking the team leader, 伟, what if I cannot make it and need to turn back. He replied he has confident with his team and I need to be confident too.

Yes! I can do it!
